Clyde has been a volunteer chaplain at NORCOR (the regional jail) and for MCMC (the local hospital). Through these ministries, he has come alongside hurting men & women, praying with them and offering words of hope & comfort, and even salvation. At the jail, he and others have offered fellowship to those who have been led to Christ or have renewed their faith in Him, giving the inmates Bibles and Christian literature, and teaching them to apply the truths of God’s Word to their lives, in jail and upon release.
After seeing so many new believers fall back into their old lifestyles of drugs and alcohol following their release from jail, Clyde & Mary, with the help of others, opened the Mid-Columbia Grace House (MCGH), which consists of two recovery homes: Grace House for men; Mercy House for women. Clyde & Mary now serve on the boards of each house respectively, and are available to the residents, building relationships with them. Mary serves as bookkeeper for this ministry as well.
