At First Christian (FCC), we seek to love God, love people, and make disciples who follow Jesus.
Here are some areas where you can help us by make a difference:
Hope Medical Clinic
provides free medical services, referrals and support to anyone facing an unplanned pregnancy. FCC collects change in “baby bottles” which are donated to the clinic on Sanctity of Human Life Sunday in January, and also occasionally hosts a “baby shower” to collect items for new parents.
FCC’s Friday Night Meal & Worship
provides a free meal along with a worship service downstairs every Friday at 7pm to anyone in the community in need of physical & spiritual nourishment.
Norcor Blessing Bags
are a ministry of FCC to the inmates in the local jail every Christmas. Cookies, candy & nuts are donated by FCC members and packed up a day or two before Christmas eve. Packers also sign Christmas cards from the church to let inmates know that Jesus loves them.
Operation Christmas Child (a ministry of Samaritan’s Purse)
packs school supplies, toys, hygiene items and other fun things in shoeboxes that are sent out as gospel opportunities around the world. FCC collects items throughout the year and packs them in mid-November.
Neighborhood Bible Clubs
are a children’s outreach of FCC where instead of waiting for kids to come to church, we take it to them through 5-day clubs in people’s yards during the summer. We also help teach CEF Good News Clubs in all three elementary schools and Jesus Youth Challenge for middle schoolers during the school year.
